Goal: To empower rural poor women in socio-economic, political and cultural aspects towards attaining self sustainability through self help process.

Special Activities:
Sanitary facilities are being properly managed and maintained by Annalagraharam group. To change the place of TASMAC sale counter, Group demonstrated a Dharna to show their feeling. In Udayalur, groups engaged in repairing of road. Thenampadugai group helped the fire victims. In Aduthurai and Sannapuram villages, groups contributed their services for proper sanitation of the school campus. A road blockade demonstration was organized against TASMAC stall in residential Thiruvisanallur. Triloki village groups jointly organized and submitted request in favour of Bus services and they achieved it.Common benefit activities:
409 number of wood-value tree seedlings were planted in Kumbakonam and Thiruvidaimarudur union villages. A medical camp was conducted in Thiruppanandhal union with active involvement of consumer protection movement representatives and Sakthi Physiotherapy unit. Three union groups jointly extended relief services during flood occurrence in November & December 2009.Union Level Training Programmes:

Impact:
It is evidently understood that among women of rural area, after inception of SHG Thittam in KMSSS operational villages, their solidarity, self help process and entrepreneur skills have been remarkably increased. Illiteracy is no longer a hurdle for achieving their basic needs from Government Department and development agencies. Constitutional knowledge on women rights show courage among women and they participate in social, political and cultural activities with great vigour.
